The Story of Transform

Creating Transform has not only been a labour of love and where I get to use my skills to help other companies reach their fullest potential, it has provided me with the opportunity to provide a legacy for my children and the next generation.

My name is Jacqueline Machaka Nyangena. I am originally from Nairobi, Kenya and have been in Adelaide, Australia for over 10 years. I have always had an entrepreneurial streak and the desire to help businesses grow so I created Transform Consultancy, a business advisory and management compliance consulting services firm, in 2018.

I am an award winning business strategist and project leader with extensive experience in finance, accounting, governance, internal audit practices, evaluation, and risk management in Adelaide. A 2018 MBA graduate of the University of South Australia, I am also a graduate and continuing member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD), and an audit and risk committee Board Member here in Adelaide.

In Kenya, I founded and worked for over five years as the General Manager of Language Solutions and Business Communication Ltd where I offered training classes to clients looking to both learn and translate multiple languages. At Language Solutions, I also facilitated comprehensive press conference interpretation services for then- U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and Somali leaders for their meetings and news briefings during a visit to Kenya in 2009. In recognition of my entrepreneurial skills and drive, in 2007, I overcame thousands of other applicants to win the Believe Begin Become (BBB), a national business plan competition and entrepreneurship development programme in Kenya.

Since coming to Australia, I’ve used my extensive business training in risk analysis, compliance, and governance to help companies analyse risk, increase engagement and productivity, and become more profitable than ever. I’ve successfully steered Transform Consultancy in:

• conducting strategic reviews across the healthcare industry to pinpoint major areas of improvement;

• designing a new strategy and set of KPIs with Company Directors that resulted in a 75% improvement in operating efficiencies such as customer engagement, financial controls, and internal processes;

• engaging with organisational leaders to develop transformational programs that leveraged economic viability by analysing and carefully monitoring budgets, resources, and operational plans; and

• interpreting and supplying metrics and data for executive decision making by way of analysis, reports, and presentations.

Transform is especially committed to supporting companies that work with culturally and linguistically diverse communities (CALD). Our vision over the coming years is to expand our business advisory, risk analysis, and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) services regionally and internationally, becoming a trusted source for businesses throughout Australia and beyond.

Creating Transform Consultancy has allowed me to help businesses in my new home of Adelaide reach the next level. My husband is an Adelaide-based physician, and we have four children, ages 3 to 15 years. Creating Transform has not only been a labour of love and where I get to use my skills to help other companies reach their fullest potential, it has provided me with the opportunity to provide a legacy for my children and the next generation.
